Everything You Need in One Comprehensive Resource
Plastic fencing has been a popular option for homeowners because it is cost-effective, stylish, and easy to install. However, many people do not know that there are various types of plastic fencing available. The most common type is PVC–but there are also polypropylene fences. In this blog post we will cover the differences between each type of fence as well as the pros and cons associated with them!
– PVC Fences: PVC fences are versatile and easy to maintain. They can be molded in any shape or size, but conversely, they cannot offer privacy due to their clear material. The only downfall of a PVC fence is its susceptibility to bending when it becomes old.
– Polypropylene Fences: Polypropylene fencing offers greater natural light than the other types because it has an opaque quality that allows for some privacy while still allowing in enough sunlight through the spaces between slats–but not as much as with vinyl or wire mesh fences. Also, polypropylene materials do not corrode like metal does so your fence will last longer! One downside is that this type of plastic isn’t available at most stores and can only be purchased online.
– Wire Mesh Fences: This type of fencing offers the most privacy because it is high and doesn’t allow much light to shine through. It also lasts a lot longer than PVC or polypropylene materials, but conversely has low versatility when it comes to design options. The downside with this fence is that there are many gaps for bugs and insects to get in!
